New Turf Soccer Field In Brampton
3 April 2017 @ 5:37 AM by Joel Convery

Peel District School Board have announced the construction of a brand new turf soccer, rugby and lacrosse field at Heart Lake Secondary School, Conestoga Drive in Brampton.

The refurbishment of the existing soccer field will include the new turf field, LED floodlighting system, new six-lane running track and upgraded bleachers.

As well as the full-sized soccer pitch, complete with lacrosse and rugby markings, the field is equipped with a removable divider netting system to split the field into four 60mx30m small sided soccer fields complete with field markings and smaller nets.

The field surface will be Fieldturf’s Revolution 360 turf, designed for the best possible combination of playability, safety and durability.  It meets both the FIFA Quality and FIFA Quality Pro testing standards and has been installed on the home fields of the Seattle Sounders, New England Revolution and Portland Timbers of the MLS and both Superbowl teams, the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons. A full LED lighting system will ensure consistent lighting levels after dark and a renovated bleacher area completes the facility.

In addition being used for a variety of sports for the Heart Lake Secondary School pupils and the local community, Footy Sevens will be running coed, men’s and women’s 7-a-side recreational soccer leagues as well as programs for children and youths. The field will also be available for rental to various sports and community groups.
